Federal bids that fit your business, and why each one made the list.
Fed Tipsheet reads the new contract notices on SAM.gov (System for Award Management, the government's contracting website). It drops set-asides you can't bid on and sends you the ones that fit your NAICS codes (North American Industry Classification System, the industry codes on every notice), your states and your keywords. Each match says in plain words why it made the list.

FAQ
Where does the data come from?
From the public SAM.gov Contract Opportunities data file, which the General Services Administration (GSA) publishes every day. We read every active notice, tidy up its NAICS code, PSC (product and service code), set-aside, agency, place of performance and deadline, and link to the official notice and its public attachments.
Are you affiliated with SAM.gov or the government?
No. Fed Tipsheet is an independent service, not a government site. SAM.gov is free to use; we just do the daily searching and reading for you.
How is the bid/no-bid score calculated? (Pro)
Bid/no-bid scores are part of Fed Tipsheet Pro; the free weekly list and Starter show the match reasons without a score. The score comes from a short list of rules we publish here: NAICS match, whether the set-aside is one you hold, place of performance against your states, your keywords, days left to respond, and notice type. Every score lists its reasons.
Is the free weekly email really free?
Yes. Every week you get the top 10 open bids for one NAICS profile, with the reasons each one matched. No card required. Unsubscribe from any email.
How do I know why a bid was picked?
Every match lists the rules it passed: which of your NAICS codes it hit, whether the set-aside is one you hold, where the work is, which keywords appeared and how many days are left. Notices set aside for a status you don't hold are removed before you see them.
Do you guarantee I'll win?
No. Nobody can. The government decides who wins. Our drafts can contain errors, so you must review them and the full solicitation before submitting.
What does Pro include today?
Up to 5 contractor profiles (Starter includes 1), each with its own daily digest; bid/no-bid scores and verdicts with the reasons behind each; and 1 compliance matrix per month, delivered within 3 business days of your request. Deep summaries of each match: scope, key dates and place of performance, plus evaluation factors, the Q&A deadline and prior-award info (similar past awards from USAspending, not always the incumbent) where public data has it. Today evaluation factors and Q&A deadlines are found for fewer than 1 in 10 notices, because they usually sit in solicitation attachments we don't read yet, and about 1 in 4 notices get a prior award, where public data has it. Fields that are missing say "not found in public data".
Can I cancel?
Yes. Starter and Pro are billed monthly only, with no long-term contract or commitment, and you can cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Payments for Starter and Pro are processed by Stripe as merchant of record.
Which set-asides do you track?
Total small business, 8(a), WOSB and EDWOSB (economically disadvantaged women-owned small business), SDVOSB, VOSB (veteran-owned small business) and HUBZone, plus unrestricted notices that any business can bid on.
